Allotrope’s core team brings together a range of skill sets spanning the project development and investment process, as well as deep networks across dozens of countries in the climate and clean energy sectors. Together, the Allotrope team represents a unique combination of decades of experience in government policymaking, capital markets, project development and finance, philanthropy, nonprofit, and advisory sectors.
Since 2013, when Marc Stuart founded Allotrope Partners, our team has been working to identify and develop projects in the clean economy, deploy pools of capital into those opportunities, and educate decision-makers on successful policy and investment paradigms. Collectively members of the Allotrope team have worked on more than 400 successful renewable energy projects and we currently provide advisory services for several Fortune 100 companies, the U.S. government, international organizations, and other partners.
From our headquarters in California, at the center of clean tech and climate leadership, to our on-the-ground presence in Southeast Asia, the Allotrope team offers unique, global expertise. Meet the Allotrope Team
Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer
Marc is the founder of Allotrope Partners and a recognized leader in the world of international emissions trading and low carbon finance. Marc has been involved in the global emission reduction economy since 1993 and co-founded EcoSecurities in 1997. He has served on the board of Verra (previously Verified Carbon Standard) since its inception in 2008 and chairs the Risks and Opportunities Committee. He is also on the advisory board of the Grantham Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, the London School of Economics, and the Claremont Graduate University.

Bob has worked in investment banking, venture investing, and project development in the alternative energy and technology field for more than 20 years. He has a degree from the University of California, Berkeley and has a Master of Public Affairs from Columbia University with a focus on Economic Development, Project Finance, and Urban Planning.

Ethan has over 30 years experience as an investment banker, management consultant and energy-related investor. He has worked in San Francisco, Tokyo and New York, and has traveled on projects throughout Asia and the Middle East. Specific to energy and the clean economy he has worked with the leading trade organizations focused on emissions reductions, energy trading and their related capital markets. Ethan has earned a BS from the Wharton School and an MBA from the Goizeuta Business School at Emory University. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, daughter and dog.
Senior Director, Clean Energy Advisory Practice
Michelle is a climate and clean energy professional with experience across the government and non-profit sectors. She leads Allotrope’s clean energy advisory practice, overseeing the Clean Energy Investment Accelerator, Greening the Banks, and Allotrope’s other clean energy initiatives and corporate advisory services. Prior to joining Allotrope, Michelle worked on international climate change issues at the U.S. Department of State where she oversaw Low Emission Development Strategies programs across a global network of partner organizations. She has experience in clean energy project management, international climate negotiations, and gender and energy issues. She holds an MA in International Affairs from George Washington University.
Southeast Asia Director
Erik manages Allotrope in Southeast Asia, bringing 15 years of experience in business origination, project development, and management of clean energy and emission mitigation projects in the region. He has experience in biofuels, solar, waste to energy, and biomethane projects and has been deeply involved in the region’s renewable energy market, covering Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Erik graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Philosophy. He lives in Singapore.
Partner, Chief Solar & Sustainability Officer
Jason has extensive experience in solar PV project origination, deal negotiations, site evaluations, system design (off-grid and on), economic modeling, marketing, strategy, policy analysis, and project sales and development – from 2 KW residential in the US to 20 MW abroad. Over the last decade, his work has resulted in the installation of over 400 solar energy systems. He earned NABCEP PV Technical Certification, and holds a BA from Pitzer College, and MA & PHD from Claremont Graduate University.
Operations Manager
Lauren has over five years experience working within a Fortune 100 apparel and footwear company with ambitious supply chain sustainability targets. Lauren supports core functions across Allotrope’s clean energy advisory practice, including project-specific work on international public-private partnership initiatives like the Clean Energy Investment Accelerator (CEIA) and Greening the Banks. Prior to joining Allotrope, Lauren worked with a range of relevant entities including large corporates and non-profit organizations. Lauren’s areas of expertise include leading global supply-chain facing projects and research, working to solve complex problems, and providing cross-functional support. Lauren holds an M.S. in Natural Resources from the University of Idaho.
Vietnam Country Director
Tung is a sustainability professional with a decade of experience in green infrastructure and financing. Prior to joining Allotrope, Tung assisted corporates and projects in meeting international lenders’ expectations with the global sustainability consulting firm, ERM. During Vietnam's rapid solar expansion in 2020, he managed a portfolio of 30 megawatts of industrial rooftop solar projects, overseeing the projects from opportunity identification to the operational stage. Tung holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London as a Chevening Scholar and a level-4 certification in ESG Investing under CFA UK.
Southeast Asia Program Manager
Samantha (“Sam”) has extensive experience in sustainability and stakeholder engagement across government and non-government sectors. Before joining Allotrope, she worked with the Philippine Rural Electrical Cooperatives Association (PHILRECA), the national organization of local utilities across the Philippines, where she led training and engagement with senior officials representing all 121 electric cooperatives. She also worked with the Philippines Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Environmental Management Bureau and with the Environment Department of one of the largest cities in Metro Manila. Now based in Singapore, Sam supports the implementation of the Local Utility Project Aggregator (LUPA) and plays a key role advancing a range of Allotrope clean energy advisory activities across Southeast Asia.
Philippines Program Manager
Ivan has six years of experience working with both the private and public institutions on renewable energy, technical writing, and communications. Prior to joining Allotrope, he worked with the Philippines Department of Energy to engage stakeholders on government regulatory functions, policies, and programs related to the development, utilization, and commercialization of renewable energy. As part of the Allotrope team, Ivan supports implementation of Allotrope’s public-private collaboration initiatives in the Philippines, including program management and stakeholder engagement with utilities, financial institutions, government partners, and other key market players.
Vietnam Clean Energy Manager
Cong is a renewable energy professional with over a decade of experience. Prior to joining Allotrope, Cong cultivated extensive clean energy technical expertise by supporting the development of solar and wind farms, battery energy storage systems, and asset management projects. In his role with Allotrope, Cong supports corporate clients to evaluate and implement clean energy and decarbonization solutions across a range of technologies. This includes leading techno-economic assessments to determine costs and benefits for specific sites, managing projects and building stakeholder relationships, and supporting business development efforts in Vietnam. Cong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics Maintenance Engineering from Hung Yen University of Technology and Education and has advanced certifications in renewable energy and reliability engineering.
Philippines Clean Energy Analyst
Alnie has over six years of experience in the energy sector working as a process engineer and as an energy policy analyst. Prior to joining Allotrope, she worked with the ASEAN Centre for Energy where she supported ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation activities and served as the lead modeler for the 7th ASEAN Energy Outlook. In her role with Allotrope, Alnie supports the implementation of the Clean Energy Investment Accelerator (CEIA), Greening the Banks, and the Local Utility Project Aggregator (LUPA) initiative in the Philippines. Key areas of expertise include energy systems modeling and performing techno-economic assessments on clean and emerging technologies. Alnie holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Technological Institute of the Philippines, and an M.S. in Energy Engineering from the University of the Philippines.
Philippines Assistant Manager
Joshua is a renewable energy professional with experience in resource origination, data modeling, policy analysis, and risk management of active and greenfield projects. He brings a range of commercial skills to his Allotrope role, where he works to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors in the Philippines. Before joining Allotrope, Joshua supported capacity building efforts in Germany and Barbados through the identification of renewable energy policy and development opportunities, strategies, and best practices. Joshua has also conducted energy access work with the Royal Academy of Engineering to de-risk community-led projects in South Africa. In the private sector, Joshua has worked with private utilities in the UK and in the manufacturing sector the Philippines to leverage market structures and maximize cost efficiency. Joshua earned his B.S. degree in Renewable Energy from the University of Exeter.
Clean Energy Project Manager
Rob is a consultant on the technical, environmental, market, and policy aspects of the energy transition. He has broad experience across technical areas, including utility-level grid integration of variable renewables, on- and off-grid solar systems, clean thermal, biofuels, biogas, hydrogen and fuel cells, market-based policy mechanisms, facility-level resilience assessments, and greenhouse gas emissions accounting. In his role with Allotrope, Rob supports the implementation of innovative projects in the corporate renewable energy procurement space. Rob holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and an M.B.A. and M.P.A. in Environmental Policy from the University of Washington.
Renewable Energy Financial Analyst
Svetlana has 20 years of experience in carbon project origination, project finance, commercial and financial due diligence, financial modeling, regulatory compliance, and investor relationship management. She has supported the financing of clean energy projects totaling over USD $250 million across North America, Europe, Mexico, and Southeast Asia. Over the past two decades, Svetlana has contributed to sustainability audits, the launch of multiple sustainability risk management tools, and cleantech financing. In her role with Allotrope, Svetlana leads financial modeling and analysis across a growing portfolio of clean energy project opportunities. She holds an MBA from Golden Gate University, a PHD from Claremont Graduate University, and a Data Analytics Technical Certification.
Vietnam Greenhouse Gas and Carbon Management Specialist
Hang has over 8 years of experience in working on environmental sustainability with a focus on climate change. Prior to joining Allotrope, Hang developed and managed carbon credit programs and projects in the energy, construction, manufacturing, and waste treatment sectors, and has experience working with a range of research institutes and non-governmental organizations. In her role at Allotrope, Hang supports the implementation of Allotrope’s initiatives in Vietnam, including Greening the Banks, corporate client advisory work, and various carbon-related projects. Hang leverages her expertise in greenhouse gas emissions inventories, decarbonization strategies, project management, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building to advance Allotrope’s work in Vietnam. Hang graduated from the Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment with an Environmental Engineering Technology degree and has a Master’s degree in Water, Environment, and Oceanography from Poitiers University in France.
Project Associate
Aiden supports Allotrope’s clean energy and decarbonization efforts across workstreams. Aiden plays a key role in research and analysis on emerging opportunities to reduce emissions, in collaboration with corporate clients and other partners. He supports various Allotrope projects related to carbon-pollution free electricity, biofuels, biochar, and the exploration of new business opportunities. Aiden works in close collaboration with Allotrope's in-country teams across Asia and globally to advance project implementation and the amplification of project results. Previous technical work includes experience conducting life cycle analyses and modeling carbon crediting and sequestration potential. Aiden holds a B.S. in Environmental Management from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
Vietnam Clean Energy and Decarbonization Analyst
Hong Anh has a deep interest in harnessing innovation to create more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient societies. As part of Allotrope's local team in Vietnam, she applies her experience conducting market analysis and advancing clean energy procurement processes in support of Allotrope's corporate clean energy, green finance, and carbon workstreams. Prior to joining Allotrope, Hong Anh worked as an offshore funding officer, a procurement officer, and a market analyst, and has also supported the completion of a 5 MW rooftop solar project. She holds an M.Sc. in Innovation and Global Sustainable Development from Lund University and a B.A. in Business and Management from Exeter University.

Tinh focuses on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and circular economy principles as part of his M.S. in Business Analytics program at Aalto University in Finland. As an intern with Allotrope Partners, Tinh is applying his research skills, data analysis capabilities, and business interests to support Allotrope’s clean energy, green finance, and carbon work across multiple projects. Tinh delivers comprehensive analytical and technical findings and actionable insights on emerging clean energy developments in Southeast Asia to advance multiple Allotrope workstreams.

Executive Committee Member
Tim joined Prelude Ventures in 2013 after 15 years with Nth Power, where he led investments in companies involved in renewable energy, demand response, advanced materials, storage and utility customer management. He was the lead investment partner for the firm’s successful investments in Evergreen Solar (ESLR), Comverge (COMV) and Proton Energy Systems (DESC). Tim received his MBA from UCLA and his BS in Resource Economics from UC Berkeley. He serves on the Board of AllConnect.

Jack is an environmental finance and commercial professional with 20 years of years of international experience, during which time he has accumulated a record of innovation in the emission reduction and clean energy project marketplace. He has been CFO of two public companies, including EcoSecurities. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Strategic Advisor
Seth Baruch is a Strategic Advisor to Allotrope Partners and the President and Founder of Carbonomics. Seth is a leading expert in the development of carbon offset methodologies, as well as in the development of projects that are generating tens of millions of carbon offsets every year. Seth has in-depth experience originating carbon projects globally and low-carbon projects in Southeast Asia, including clean energy and industrial energy efficiency projects. Seth has extensive technical experience on carbon project registration, corresponding rules and guidelines, validation processes, and relevant monitoring methodologies.
